Privacy Policy
SoftX Lab ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. We believe that useful software should not require unnecessary access to your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how SoftX Lab handles information when you use our websites and applications.
- No Personal Data Collection
Our applications are designed to work without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information to us.
SoftX Lab does not collect, store, sell, or share users' personal information through its applications unless a particular application clearly states otherwise.
We do not collect information such as:
Name Email address Phone number Contacts Passwords Government identification Financial information Precise location Personal files or documents Photos or videos User-generated content
unless a specific application explicitly requires such information for a stated feature and provides the appropriate disclosure.
- Local Processing
Where an application provides features for processing photos, documents, calculations, or other files, processing may take place directly on your device.
Files selected or created by you may remain on your device and are not automatically uploaded to SoftX Lab servers.
For example, an application may process a photo or document locally on your device to provide its intended functionality.
- No Account Required
Our applications generally do not require you to create an account or sign in to use their core functionality.
We therefore do not maintain user accounts or user profiles for these applications.
- Information Stored on Your Device
Some applications may save settings, preferences, generated files, or other application data locally on your device.
This information is controlled by the operating system and remains on your device unless you choose to share, export, upload, or otherwise transfer it.
For example, an application may save a user preference such as a selected setting or theme locally on the device.
- Permissions
An application may request device permissions when they are necessary for a specific feature.
A permission request by itself does not mean that SoftX Lab collects or stores the associated information.
We aim to request only the permissions necessary for the functionality provided by the application.
- Third-Party Services and SDKs
Some applications may use third-party libraries or platform services that are necessary for specific functionality.
If a particular application uses a third-party service that collects or processes user data, the relevant application will disclose that practice as required by applicable law and Google Play policies.
The privacy practices of third-party services are governed by their respective policies.
- Data Sharing and Sale
SoftX Lab does not sell users' personal information.
We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Where a particular application uses a third-party service that requires data processing, the applicable data handling will be disclosed for that application.
- Data Retention and Deletion
Because our applications do not generally collect or maintain personal information on SoftX Lab servers, we do not maintain a central personal-data account for users of these applications.
Data created or stored locally by an application can generally be removed by deleting the relevant files or uninstalling the application, subject to the operating system's behaviour and any files that you have independently exported or shared.
- Children's Privacy
Our applications are not designed to collect personal information from children.
Because our applications generally do not require users to provide personal information, we do not knowingly collect children's personal information through our applications.
- Website
This Privacy Policy also applies to the SoftX Lab website.
If you voluntarily contact us through email or another communication channel, we may receive the information that you choose to provide in that communication. We use that information only to respond to your enquiry and manage the related communication.
This does not mean that our mobile applications collect that information.
- Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our applications, services, or privacy practices change.
Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Introduction
SoftX Lab ("SoftX Lab", "we", "us" or "our") is an independent software studio, and operates this website. This policy explains what information the website receives, why it is received, how long it is kept and who it is shared with.
This website is an informational site. It presents our products, projects, services and work in progress, and it gives you ways to reach us. It does not sell anything, does not offer accounts to the public and does not run any advertising.
This policy covers this website only. Any application or product we publish elsewhere — for example on an app store — is covered by the terms and privacy information supplied with that application.
Information we collect
There is no form of any kind on this website. You cannot create an account, subscribe to a newsletter, post a comment, make a payment or upload a file here, so there is no point at which the website asks you for personal information.
Information you provide
The Contact page lists our contact channels as links. Choosing one opens your own email application or WhatsApp; the message is composed and sent in that application, not on this website. Whatever you decide to include — your name, your email address or phone number, your company, a description of the work you have in mind, and any files you attach — reaches us through that channel, and we use it to answer you and to discuss the work you asked about.
Nothing you type is submitted to, processed by or stored on this website.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, this one cannot serve a page without receiving some technical information from your browser, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of the requests it handles. That information typically includes:
- your IP address;
- your browser and operating system, as reported in the user-agent string;
- the page you requested and the date and time of the request;
- the page that referred you, when your browser sends one.
The website also creates a session for each browser, which is what makes its cross-site request forgery protection work. The session record holds a randomly generated identifier together with the IP address and user-agent string of the request that created it, and it expires automatically after a period of inactivity.
We do not use analytics software, tracking pixels, session recording, heatmaps, fingerprinting or advertising technology on this website, so none of the information above is used to build a profile of you or to follow you across other sites.
How we use information
We use what we receive only in order to:
- Serve the website. Deliver the pages, images and files you request.
- Keep it secure. Protect the site against forged requests and against repeated attempts to sign in to the admin panel, and investigate abuse.
- Keep it working. Diagnose errors and maintain the reliability of the site.
- Reply to you. Respond to an enquiry you have sent us, and carry on the conversation about it.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising or marketing profiles, or subject you to automated decision-making.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website sets only strictly necessary, first-party cookies. There are two of them, both issued by the web framework the site runs on:
- A session cookie. Holds a randomly generated session identifier and nothing else. It carries no personal information and is not readable by scripts.
- A CSRF token cookie. Lets the site verify that a request submitted to it genuinely came from the site, which is what protects the admin panel from forged requests.
Both are limited to this site and expire when your session does. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies and no cross-site tracking of any kind — which is why you are not shown a cookie consent banner. We do not use local storage, session storage or similar client-side stores.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The public pages of this site remain fully readable without them; only the admin panel, which is not open to the public, requires them.
Third-party services
This website loads no third-party content. Its styles, scripts, fonts and images are all served from our own domain, and a Content Security Policy instructs your browser to refuse resources from anywhere else. There is no tag manager, no embedded video, no external font service and no social media widget on any page.
Two third parties are nevertheless involved in the ordinary operation of the site:
- Our web hosting provider, which runs the servers that hold the site and its database, and keeps the server logs described above.
- The channel you choose to contact us on, such as your email provider or WhatsApp. Those services are operated independently of us and handle your message under their own privacy terms.
Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your information for anyone else's marketing. We disclose information only:
- to our hosting provider, to the extent that operating and storing the website requires it;
- where the law, a court or a government authority requires it of us;
- where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or to investigate abuse of or an attack on the site.
If a client project ever requires us to handle information on that client's behalf, that work is governed by the agreement for that project and is outside the scope of this website policy.
Data storage and security
The website is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. It sends security headers with every response, including a Content Security Policy, and it declines to be embedded in a frame on another site.
The administrative area used to publish content is protected by password authentication. It has no public registration route — accounts can only be created directly on the server — sign-in attempts are rate limited, passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes and never in readable form, and the session identifier is replaced when an administrator signs in. Image uploads are possible only for a signed-in administrator, are checked for file type and size, and are stored under a generated filename rather than the one the file arrived with.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We take the measures above because they materially reduce the risk.
Data retention
- Sessions are kept while they are active and are removed once they expire.
- Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics, in line with our hosting provider's normal practice, and are then overwritten or deleted.
- Correspondence you send us stays in the mailbox or messaging account it arrived in for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the work discussed, after which it is deleted.
- Administrator accounts are kept for as long as the person needs access, and are removed when they do not.
The content published on this site — our products, projects and lab entries — describes our own work and holds no personal information about visitors.
Your rights and choices
Because the website has no forms and no accounts for the public, we normally hold nothing about a visitor beyond the technical records described in this policy, which are not linked to a name.
If you have contacted us, you can ask us to tell you what correspondence we hold from you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to us using the details in the final section. So that we can find the right messages, please write from the address or number you originally used, or tell us what it was. Where the law that applies to you gives you further rights over your personal information, we will honour them.
You can also control cookies through your browser, as described above. Since we operate no tracking, there is nothing further to opt out of.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
External links
Some pages link out to other websites — an app store listing, a code repository, a professional profile, a client's site, or a messaging service. Following one of those links takes you off this website. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, so we recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you go on to use.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy when the website changes or when the law requires it. The revised policy takes effect when it is published here, and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page always shows the date of the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear on this page.
